My Journey
One day in my 30's, I was doing some stretching and strengthening exercises after a run when suddenly it felt as if lightning went through my back. The pain, spasming, and tingling in my legs was so intense, it took an hour before I could crawl to the couch. I didn't bounce back for years. It felt like my body had broken...

I sought help from physical therapists, pain specialists, structural integrators, physiatrists, orthopedic doctors, osteopathic doctors, acupuncturists, energy workers, psychologists...my symptoms lingered and the repeated disappointments compounded my dread. I felt so confused and alone. I was also getting mad.

So I started to make my own way.

*I game-planned with supportive trainers, acupuncturists, and physical therapists.
*I studied with herbalists and a naturopathic doctor who provided holistic approaches to improving my self-care.
*Each person, each experience was an opportunity to integrate and gather information, to pay attention to what was working to improve the quality of my life.

By 2018, I was running again.
Today, I am climbing harder in my 40's than before my injury.
